Dr. Lee Returning Home To Dine At Club 33

After working 28 years at Club 33, it was so wonderful to return, but this time I was the guest!
Mickey and Pluto seemed happy to see me and I was sure happy to see them. Honestly, I miss Club 33, being there felt like home.

What's old is new again:

Property Control steers used Disneyland items away from the trash. Old bedroom furniture. Worn-out dinnerware. Standard-def television sets. All things ready for replacement.
But what happens to those old items after you make the big upgrade?
Many search for the nearest landfill,but when you upgrade as constantly as the Disneyland Resort does, there is an endless stream of stuff useful enough to keep out of the trash.
Property Control is a small team with a big job. Most people don't think about the afterlife of these items being replaced. Property Control works closely with other departments to support the company's goal of bringing net waste down to zero.
The first call often made by Property Control is to the Walt Disney Archives, which preserves items of historical value. If the Archives passes, Property Control works to find other options, including partnering with community relations to donate items to charity, or with environmental initiatives to redeploy or recycle.
Some items are even made available for purchase in the Property Control area inside Company D. Lightly used Disneyland Hotel furniture, table settings from restaurants, and even unneeded costume pieces for Halloween.
Items that Property Control has handled:

1...Disneyland Railroad tracks;

2...Mickey Mouse's parade car;

3...A British-style phone booth from the Disneyland Hotel;

4...Sun icon from Sunshine Plaza;

5...Exercise machines from the Disney Wonder Cruise Ship;

6...Hook's Pointe furniture;

7...Irrigation systems;

8...Peter Pan ride vehicles;

9...Rockin' California Screamin marquee sign;
Cheers...
