Dating back to 1958, the Candlelight Ceremony and Processional is one of the oldest and most beloved holiday traditions at Disneyland Park. This year, for the first time, the event will be extended to a total of 20 nights, with two performances each night. The first two nights, Dec. 1-2, will be invitation-only events; performances from Dec. 3-20 will be open to Disneyland Resort annual passholders and guests booking special, to-be-announced dining packages for the 2012 holiday season.
The Candlelight Ceremony and Processional is an evening performance of classic holiday music and the telling of the first Christmas Story in Town Square with the help of celebrities such as Cary Grant, John Wayne, Dick Van Dyke and, in 2011, Gary Sinise. The popular tradition was adopted at the Walt Disney World Resort in 1971.
I sang in Candlelight for 5 years, mid ninty's, I still remember most of the music...Dr Lee
