Think about this:

If you woke up this morning in good "Health,"
you have more "Luck" than one "MILLION" people,
who won't live through the week!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have a full fridge, clothes on your back, a roof over your head, and a place to sleep, than you are wealthier than 75% of the worlds population????????????

LAST ONE:

WORK like you don't need the money...

LOVE like nobody has ever "hurt" you...

Dance like no one is watching...

Sing like no one is listening...

Live like this is "paradise" on Earth...

But most of all, have a great day and count your "Blessings."

A look back at Disneyland history:

In a few short months, on July 17,2010, Disneyland Park will celebrate it's 55th anniversary. Leading up to the special day,I will blog about the history of Disneyland, beginning with a look at what Disneyland could have been and how it came to be.
The original location for a Disney-theme park was across the street from the Burbank Studios. Walt Disney's ideas soon outgrew the 16 acres set aside for "Mickey Mouse Park," designed to be a childern's play area surronded by a train. Walt Disney soon began to look for a new place to make his dream a reality.
Herb Ryman was the artist behind the first rendering of Disneyland, created in one weekend under Walt Disney's supervision. Once the map was complete, Roy Disney was off to New York in hopes of impressing investors and securing financing for Walt's dream--Disneyland.

and Dr Lee was speechless:

While bartending at Club 33 at lunch time a few years ago, I had approximately 30 seconds to say something that would sound good to Sir Paul McCartney(Beatles). With his bodyguard standing near by, I spoke in a calm voice and said to Sir Paul McCartney, "Thank you for being part of my youth." His reply was, "cool."
You must remember that when the Beatles first came to the U.S. in 1964,I was only 12 years old. I had those Beatle shoes and bought all the albums. However, I was never allowed to grow my hair like the Beatles because I was an Air Force brat. My parents were very strict and did not like the Beatles. In 10th grade, my class made a movie from the soundtrack "A Day in the Life" and the lead guy was a friend of mine named Rick, who had Beatle long hair and was suspended from school more than once because of it. How times have changed!!!
Just thought you would like to know...............

Earth Day, 40 years later:

Founded by former U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin, April 22 is celebrated as Earth Day by more than 500 million people and governments in 175 countries to inspire awareness and appreciation for earth's environment.
On April 22, 1970, thousands of U.S. colleges and universities organized protests against the deterioration of our natural resources. Approximately 20 million Americans participated with the goal of protecting and preserving our natural resources worldwide. Groups that had been fighting against environmental efforts suddenly realized they shared common values, marking the beginning of the mordern environmental movement.

Earthy tips for a greener Resort:

Earth Month is here and Cast Members can take the lead by informing Guests about ways they can make a difference. Here at the Disneyland Resort, help Guests celebrate Earth Month (and every month) by providing easy tips that will help to make the most of their visit:

PRE-ARRIVAL

Know someone coming to the Disneyland Resort? Carpooling to the Disneyland Resort is a great way to save money and help the environment by emitting less carbon dioxide.

DAY VISITS

Start with a simple tip by showing Guests where our recycling receptacles are located in your location.

Share the Weekly Environmental Tip on page 7 of the Cast Member Reference Guide with Guests.

Let Guests know when drying hands in a restroom, utilize an air dryer when available, instead of paper towels.

LONGER STAYS

For hotel Guests, advise them to reuse towels in their room or by the pool by hanging them to dry. This makes a great impact on water conservation.

The "Every Tree Has Character" reusable bag is available for only $2.95, plus tax. The bags are available at select locations throughout the Disneyland Resort and are a great way to reduce waste by not using a plastic or paper bag.

Walt Disney and the environment:

Continuing the Dream;

This Earth Day,Disneynature's Oceans will immerse audiences in the lives of our planet's ocean animals. The film follows in the tradition established by Walt Disney, one rooted in his affinity for all of the earth's creatures.
Walt Disney's affection and respect for nature and animals influenced his television shows, films and attractions. From 1948-60 the True-Life Adventures series, which won eight Academy Awards, pioneered the art of filming of animals in their natural habitats while telling their story of survival. Two films from the series, The Living Desert and Bear Country, inspired scenes in Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland attraction at Disneyland Park in Frontierland(1956-1977). And his original vision for the Jungle Cruise attraction at Disneyland Park included live exotic animals.
After Walt Disney passed, The Walt Disney Company stayed true to his passion for wildlife. On Earth Day in 1998, Disney's Animal Kingdom Park opened at the Walt Disney World Resort. The Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction transport Guests on an adventure through a natural habitat filled with live exotic animals. And each Guests Members-driven excursion captivates Guests with up-close views of animals from the African savanna, realizing Walt's original vision for the Jungle Cruise.
Walt Disney's dream continues today with a commitment to the environment through various initiatives, but it takes every Cast Member to continue the legacy. This year, with the opening of Diseynature's Oceans, Cast Members are asked to Make A Wave during Earth Month.

Make a W.A.V.E.

1...Watch...out for waste-it pollutes the ocean and harms wildlife.
2...Act...now-to save water and keep it clean.
3...Value...and appreciate beaches and oceans-look,don't touch wildlife, and make wise seafood choices.
4...Educate...yourself-about how reducing emissions helps our oceans.

No matter where we live, we are all connected to the oceans.

Disney's Friends For Change,ProjectGreen:

In 2009, Disney's Friends for Change: Project Green was introduced as a multiplatform initiative that helps kids understand environmental issues. Through the program, kids learn practical ways to help the environment, get their friends involved, track their collective impact and have the opportunity to help decide how $1 million in donations to various environmental causes will be made over the course of a year.
To date,1.5 million pledges have been made to prevent more than 70,000 tons of carbon emissions per year, save nearly 122 million gallons of water per month and prevent close to 200,000 pounds of trash from entering the landfills every month.
Kids can join online at www.Disney.com/projectgreen, where they will commit to taking simple everyday actions, such as turning off the lights and switching to reusable water bottles, and find out more about why these actions matter.
