The Art of Flavor:

Food and Wine Festival, The Art of Flavor, April 16 thru May 31,2010....

Guests may visit the Festival Welcome Center- located on the west side of the entrance plaza inside Disney's California Adventure- for an up-to-date schedule,to check in or make a reservation, and to pick up a Festival Guide. HISTORY OF THE FESTIVAL:

In 2006,the event began as Disney's California Adventure Food & Wine Weekends and lasted one month. By 2008, the festival transformed into a month-long celebration of culinary festivities, wine and beer tasting seminars and Signature Events, including Celebrity Chef Dinners. Last year, the festival expanded to run daily for six weeks with the addition of Festival Wine Walks, Sweet Sundays and World Celebration dinners.

NEW THIS YEAR:

** Hollywood Pictures Backlot will showcase the addition of Festival Showplace, located in Stage 12. The Festival Showplace will include:

"Taste of California" Marketplace- Unique tapas-sized tastings will be available.

**Star Lounge presented by Stella Artois:

Enjoy featured Belgian beers, featured Festival wines by the glass or a specially created cocktail.

**The Wine Seller:

Full-bottle sales of selected wines will be available for purchase to enjoy at home. Purchased bottles will be available at Package Pickup outside the entrance to Disney's California Adventure Park.

**Festival Gift Shop:

Festival-exclusive logo merchandise and cookbooks will be available in The Wine Seller.

**Showplace Stage:

Where Guests may attend seminars,demonstrations and events.

Also new this year, in the Pacific Wharf area, Guests may purchase merchandise, and visit with local artisans while browsing culinary-and wine- inspired crafts, original art and gourmet home and food products.
Riedel Glass Tasting, a new Signature Event, is also available for purchase where Guests will learn how the shape of the glass affects the bouquet, taste, balance and finish of wines.

RETURNING FAVORITES:

Complimentary experiences are included with valid Disney's California Adventure Park admission.

**Culinary Demonstrations:

Watch the pros in action and discover what infiuences the art of flavor. "Palette" pleasing demonstrations feature the chefs of the Disneyland Resort and Downtown Disney, plus visiting celebrity chefs and personalities.

**Celebrity Chef Culinary Demonstrations:

Favorite celebrity chefs and culinary personalities in action at the Chef Showcase Stage in Sunshine Plaze. Celebrity chefs scheduled to attend include Guy Fieri, Cat Cora,Art Smith, Keegan Gerhard, Jeffery Saad, Brian Malarkey, Sunny Anderson, Robert Irvine, Kerry Simon and more.

**Jr. Chef:

Each week, childern ages 11 and younger may join a fun, hands-on experience Friday through Sunday at the Hollywood Pictures Backlot.

**Kitchen Conversations:

Attend an indepth Q and A session with noted authors, cookbooks writers and industry experts.

**Cookbook Signing/Autograph Sessions:

Get up close and personal with your favorite celebrity chefs and cookbook authors. Advance reservations and additional fee required.

Will be available daily at the Festival Showplace.

Will be available on select date and times at the Festival Showplace.


SIGNATURE EVENTS:

**Taste Food-Wine-Life:

Presented in "grand-tasting" style, this event invities you to sample delectable creations and fine wines inspired by "The Art of Flavor."

**Winemaker Dinnners:

Renowned winemakers present their work of art while Disneyland Resort Hotel Chef Jason Martin creates an exquisite pairing menu.

**Sweet Sundays:

The sweetest event of 2009 returns as an acclaimed pastry chef,baker or chocolatier demonstrates three of their signature desserts.

**Napa Rose Cooking School:

Executive Chef Andrew Sutton leads an interactive hands-on cooking and learning experience.

**Taste Wine Like an Expert:

Advanced Disneyland Resort Sommelier Joy Crushing introduces the joys of wine tasting to Guests, who will use their newfound skills to participate in a "blind tasting."
