Dr. Lee Returning Home To Dine At Club 33

After working 28 years at Club 33, it was so wonderful to return, but this time I was the guest!
Mickey and Pluto seemed happy to see me and I was sure happy to see them. Honestly, I miss Club 33, being there felt like home.

Circle D achieves groundbreaking zero waste certification:

There's something missing at the Circle D Corral-trash cans.

The Circle D Corral Team's commitment to conservation made history this month when the facility earned a zero waste gold level certification from the U.S. Zero Waste Business Council for diverting 99 percent of its trash, making it the first facility within The Walt Disney Company- or at any theme park- to achieve this goal.

The journey to zero waste began four years ago, when stable attendant Andrea Raney recognized that most of the backstage ranch's waste was compostable. Andrea partnered with the Disneyland Resort's environmental teams to transition the area's 30-yard garbage bin to a compost bin.

With her team's support (after a bit of convincing), Andrea removed almost all of Circle D's waste bins-including her own leader's trash can. She found ways to reduce office paper and disposable paper cups. The team expanded its recycling of cardboard, plastics, metals, cans, bottles, paper and more. They compost all animal waste and hand towels, and, through partnerships with other areas, now also compost the resort's coffee grounds and laundry lint.

very cool....Dr Lee
