In 1964, Disneyland hosted more than 400 U.S. athletes heading to Japan for the Summer Olympics. Events included a tribute show, featuring Bob Hope and a cast of Hollywood stars. During the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, Disneyland hosted thousands of athletes, officials and dignitaries from more than 140 nations. Following the games, we saluted our returning Olympians with an event featuring Vice President George H.W. Bush.
