The summer of 1982 promises to be another one of excitement and top entertainment at Disneyland Park. Repeating last year's successful variety show, Space Mountain Stage will feature "Show Biz Is"- a delightful look at show biz, from vaudeville to movies to stage shows.
With the humorous and sometimes dubious help of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and other Disney characters, a talented group of dancers/singers provides a colorful medley of tunes from many eras. This musical montage combines the tap dancing of vaudeville, the rhythms of Latin America and the precision of " A Chorus Line." Its performers barely pause for a breath between numbers as they race through costume changes at an unbelievably fast pace. " Show Bis Is " is fun to see, and you can see it every day of the week this summer in Tomorrowland.
And of course you won't want to miss the popular Main Street Electrical Parade and the dazzling nightly " Fantasy in the Sky " fireworks.
As in past seasons, Disneyland will feature top musical talents on stage nightly. Famous singers and groups will appear on Frontierland's Rivers of America stage.
At the far end of Main Street, the Carnation Plaza Gardens continues to offer fans one of the few remaining spots for dancing to the music of big bands. A different famous band is spotlighted weekly.
There'll be happy music around every corner of the Park! Rock sounds will emanate from both the Space Mountain Stage and Tomorrowland Terrace.
Other free entertainment includes the All-America College Marching Band, the Dapper Dans singing group, Disneyland Band, Royal Street Bachelors and Coke Corner pianist, among others.
The popular unlimited use ticket, " Passport to Disneyland " continues to be offered at the Park. The Magic Kingdom will open from 9 a.m. to midnight Sundays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturdays, begining June 19th through the fun summer season.
