1...The Disneyland site was originally a 160 acre orange grove.


2...Disneyland opened to great fanfare on July 17, 1955!!!


3...The opening was hosted by Ronald Reagan (future U.S. President), Art Linkletter and Bob Cummings.


4...ABC added 90 million viewers through their television coverage.


5...Construction for Disneyland began on July 21, 1954.


6...11,000 invitation  only tickets were issued but were easily duplicated that the attendance on that opening day rose to 28,154.
