Dr. Lee Returning Home To Dine At Club 33

After working 28 years at Club 33, it was so wonderful to return, but this time I was the guest!
Mickey and Pluto seemed happy to see me and I was sure happy to see them. Honestly, I miss Club 33, being there felt like home.

Golden Ears Still Enjoy Disney Life

Is there life after ""retiring"" from Disney? Yes! The Golden Ears Retirement Club stays connected to the Disneyland Resort long after their cast members days are over.Whether through lunchons, group outings or specical times together, this group is true to their Disneyland roots.
What does it take to earn your ""golden ears""? According to Benefits Representative Mary Alonzo,"After 10 years of regular service, retired cast member 55 years of age or more, are eligible to join. The $10 yearly membership dues cover club benefits and expenses".
Members gather monthly for meetings at The Golden Horseshoe stage. The club also takes group day trips and occasional overnight excursions. "The big part of what makes the Golden Ears specical is their connection to our Disneyland history,"Mary says."they talk about maintaining friendships that developed while they worked here over the years.A lot of them knew Walt Disney and talk about walking down Main Street,U.S.A.with him."
Golden Ears continue to share Disney magic by assisting with the shipping of the Disneyland Resort Line. Each month,a team of about 15 volunteers prepare more than 2,000 newsletters to be mailed to retirees and special mailings to Cast Members across the globe.Additionally, the club partners with many local nonprofits to donate time and money, including a toy drive during the holiday season.

I have just heard that the Golden Ears Club has opened up to Burbank/Glendale retirees? I am a retiree from Disney having worked in Consumer Products and Corporate Legal. How does one become a member? I know there are other retirees who would also like to join. Please advise.
